Statboy, Aaron Boone doesn't have to do anything else to be remembered by fans. Aaron Boone is known as Bret Boone's little brother. To answer your first question, Bret Boone's little brother is not worth the $4.5 million option. He's only batting .226 and has a .284 on-base percentage! How can that be worth $4.5 million?

Bret Boone's little brother? Bret Boone is now Aaron Boone's Older brother. Haven't you seen...

Yes, I would have to say so. The A's are just red hot and have taken the wild card. The Twins are in a freefall. To echo the Twins fans, when the team is hitting, the pitching, especially Brad Radke, Kyle Lohse, and Joe Mays pitch like crap. When the pitching is coming around, their hitters are cold. Until they get it together, and that's without their best positional player, they are just falling further behind in the standings.

The Twins are absolutely done, they have lost 6 in a row and 8 of their last 10. They released Bret Boone, and they still don't have any offense to replace the "little to no" offense he gave them. Now they have to try and replace Torii's offense and his gold glove in CF. They should have pulled the trigger for a Joe Randa trade or at least someone, the Twins are 6 games out of the wild card with the bigwig Yanks and the on fire A's ahead of them, not to mention a couple other teams. The Twins are done, if it wasn't for their pitching they woulda been done a month ago

With the play of the youngsters of the Atlanta Braves it would appear that Schuerholz has got his team in line to win the division for another 10 years. Francouer, freshly up from AA is hitting .407 with plenty of pop in his bat through 60 AB's. Betemit (.295), Orr(.304), McCann (.306), LaRoche are all learning how to win down the postseason stretch, with the veterans around them. 5 years from now, these same guys will be winning and teaching other young players how to win. As long as John Schuerholz is GM of the Bravos, they will be a playoff contender. He knows talent in the youngsters, and he knows how to sign the key FA. Simply put, he is one of the most underrated GM's in the game today as the neysayers would say....but he has only won one WS. I say to them, at least his team has had a chance to play for the WS title at the end of each and every year.

And Bobby Cox can't manage in the playoffs. And Time Warner lowers our payroll every year.

Anyhow, that's going to do it for tonight's episode. Be sure to discuss this show in the Show Comments thread in the ATH forum..we'll see you Friday..Around the Horn!
