i did quit drugs. unfortunately leo decided a couple years back to cut everybodys money in half, when i had already committed a shitload of money to guys, and suddenly my payroll dropped from like 135 to 100.

[i realize i would have still been losing money the whole time, but i had like 50 mil in cash left over, and it went down to 20, and thus why im down to 3 and the inability to spend any money]

I knew the transition would suck but before I cut that everyone save a few mismanaged teams routinely had 100s of millions in FA money. I felt it was good for the league for finances to actually matter.

Anaheim did get a few yearly boosts with the grandfathering of the contracts, but I guess it still hurt them overall.

realistically, its more because they were gmless for like 15 seasons before i picked them up, and were near the worst team in the league the first 10 years i had them, so all the fan interest and everything was in the shitter, so i had no general revenue. i just had a sick amount of cash left over.

hey joe... you know what the worst part about using betances in the 8th and robertson in the 9th is? you cant bring betances back in after robertson walks the leadoff guy on 4 pitches.

A lot of GM less teams were like that, until we moved MSL and the original Hybrid over here.
