    MLB C'mon Collapse

I don't know about you but I am hoping for a collapse and I don't care if it's the Braves or Red Sox. I would prefer the Braves because 1993 still hurts for me but this is exciting baseball!! All I heard last September is that there was no excitement and that baseball needed another Wild Card. Oh what prisoners of the moment the media can be. If they're not choking on those words now, then they should be. The Rays and Angels are within 2.5 of the Red Sox and the Cards and Giants are within 3.5 of the Braves with the Cards 1.5 out. Just think of the terrible starts both the Rays and Red Sox got off to this season which leads to me screaming GAMES IN APRIL MEAN JUST AS MUCH AS GAMES IN SEPTEMBER!! Most agree on that point but yet there are still idiots in the media that don't grasp this concept. I am primed for an exciting finish either way as this defines my love for this game!!

You can't win a division title in April but you sure as heck can lose it. How much better would the news be if there was that 2nd wildcard because a month ago it seemed the wild cards were locked up and you would have had Rays and Angels still being in a race to get you into September and the Boston Meltdown. I dont know about the NL because it pains me to look at it and see the type of year Cincy has had and ask what if we did ANYTHING to address the rotation this past offseason.

"Oh, don't mind me, I'm rebuilding now" then you win at least 80 games

When Longoria went down I had my doubts, he seems to be the conductor now, as he goes, they go. While it is nerve racking that every game could be the death blow, I'd take this "torture" any day over being 24 games out by the 4th of July.

Toby don't read this next part....

I hope the Angels come all the way back, I think their pitching staff can do some damage in the post season

I, for one, am already enjoying the Giants' collapse.

I wouldn't mind seeing the Angels breaking its way into the top in the WC race. I also hope St. Louis will keep doing its job of losing positions in the NL WC race as well.

It's all good Zo, if the Angels get the spot they deserve it, so would my boys and the Sawx if they eke it out. Good come back stories all the way around.

TB .5 games back. If the Red Sox lose game 2 today, they'll be tied with 3 games left.

Lincecum gets rocked in his final start a day after his Giants are eliminated from the postseason, Jordan Walden buries the Angels' playoff hopes with an epic meltdown, and Kershaw all but clinches the pitching Triple Crown. What a great baseball weekend.

You make it sound life if Lincecum blew his chance at a CY

Let him have his moments. He hasn't had much to be happy at all year and won't for a long while.
