Half those guys were gambles but when you have that many picks, you can afford to gamble. They got some good players. No, supplementals are not protected as far as I understand it.

Chiming in late, but damn. Tampa got compensation for Hawpe and Qualls? Impressive. Since they drafted a team, it'll be interesting to look back on this draft to see how they did in a few years. Especially if they keep drafting as wisely as they have been, and continue to develop the ammies in the farm. It'll be just as important that they make sure no one steals Andrew Friedman away in the coming years.

Does Cashman count, cause I think he's reduced to being a sock puppet at this point.

The Texas Rangers guy is really good, I think. He has smarts and shrewdness about him that seems to work.

Jon Daniels would definitely be in my top five, ahead of Cashman who is not in the top five.

GM Mike Rizzo and his Senior Adviser Davey Johnson are an up and coming tandem for the Nats who are now willing to spend a bit of money as well as developing a great group of young players in the minors.

The Brewers drafted Trent Boras, Scott Boras' son. Ouch!
