22 games now. Just about halfway to Pete Rose.

Rose said that the first 40 were easy and the last 4 were really tough.

RBI double. So that's 23.
Its now 24!
Ethier is definitely on a roll. I wouldn't want to pitch to him right now.

Not only did he get to 24, he got to 24 with authority. A walk-off homer in the 10th? Seriously? This dude is putting the entire team on his shoulders.
Matt Kemp is helping a bit too Welcome to the site!
25 now
BTW, thanks Billy Beane for trading us Ethier for Milton Bradley.
Ethier has the potential to go for a very long hitting streak. He has enough power to hit a "hanger" out of any ballpark, the bat control to line the ball into center for a single and the speed to beat out a 4-hopper to short.
This said, I really do not expect him to challenge DiMaggio's streak (or Rose's for that matter).

26 now. Starting to get serious. Only 1 more month away from DiMaggio.
Marshall: MILSWANCAs?
Ted: Wait, I can get this. Mothers I'd like to sleep with and never call again.
Barney: Circle gets the square!

He has long way to go, but he isn't just getting lucky. He is actually getting multiple hits in many of these games, getting clutch hits, etc...He is doing it with style. Next up is the 31 game streak, which is the longest for the Dodgers in LA. Then he has to get Pete Rose at 44, then he can look at DiMaggio.
And the streak continues!
Ethier got a nice "hometown" call today, but the streak continues.
