Instant roids in those gatorade bottles..
Pudge's power potential is better than the 6 homers indicate but damn, I never saw him making it to the finals.
Oh, and the Allstar banner looks great.
But he's never been the typical power guy, certainly not a homerun derby type. Then again, neither is Choi or Bay. Bay's more of a Chipper guy, some good pop but ultimately not a derby type.
People forgot he hit 35 HRs in a season once....
Once isn't consistent. I mean, Brady Anderson hit 50 one time, I don't buy him as a good guy for the Derby.
However, if Pudge wins, he wins. And no one picked him so at least we're all even after the first question.
Yep, 256 dingers in his career too. He might not have that kind of power still, but he is a professional hitter and putting him in an enviroment like this where he knows what is coming and he'll have success.Quote:

40 HRs....great season.....Seesh.
Eric Milton has to be his BP Pitcher I swear.......make that 41.
Didn't Garret Anderson win the derby, and then won the ASG MVP?
Hmmmm..
Man, Abreu is nuts! Would be even more amazing if Rodriguez made it close. Lets see!
There is 1
Make it 2 with 0 outs!
Abreu is the 2005 Home Run Derby Champion!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Who didn't see that coming after the first round?
