Twins find new ways to break their soul when playing the Empire.

If I start cheering for the Empire, will that help?

Every time I see Tex, A-Rod, and Jeter play I think of a soap opera with a bunch of overpriced supermodels trying to trip their opponents in their stilettos on the runway. I'm sorry but I can't look at this team and actually see them as ballplayers.

    More like cocky spoiled divas.

Listening to Jon Miller and Orel Hershiser on ESPN, I love how these guys act surprised when a stalwart relief pitcher suddenly struggles. Like no shit, it's the playoffs where only heavy-duty batting lineups apply.

San Francisco is hardly a heavy-duty batting lineup. Tampa Bay's offense is pretty mediocre. Saying ONLY heavy-duty lineups apply in the postseason is pretty misleading.

Liriano pitched well, but had one bad inning. The Texeira homerun just killed us tonight. The Twins also left entirely too many men on base. They better come back in the next game with more timely hitting or they could be down 2-0 and pretty much out of the playoffs quickly as usual.
