    R.A. Dickey was cut by the M's (for what reasons I will never understand. Just see Ryan Rowland-Smith every 5th day or David Pauley etc) and the Twins (who could use him right now). Now hes the Mets 2nd best starter.

    What Gives.

    And yes Jose Bautista is beyond surprising.

    He cost them just $1 million (the White Sox covered another $1 million) and a 26-year old shortstop in Class A ball. You can say he was a luxury pinch-hitter, but how is it a bad thing to upgrade from a "prototypical" pinch-hitter like Mark Sweeney or Mark Loretta?
