Although Heyward has not produced a lot this month, the body of work for the season is very impressive. Posey is a very close 2nd for me.

Posey has 2 less HRs and 7 less RBIs than Heyward in 120 less at bats and he's batting 38 points higher in batting average.

Heyward has Posey beat in OBP but Posey has Heyward beat in Slugging percentage and OPS.

I guess I was exaggerating a little bit there to prove a point. It's hard to compare a pitchers statistics to a batters, if you ask me, they should have a separate rookie of the year ballot for pitchers and positioned players.

The way that Posey has handled himself, the way he has handled the Giants staff and the numbers he has put up is just outstanding. The kid is someone you want being the face of your franchise for the next 14 years (or however long his knees can stand playing catcher). I love his demeanor and love the way he plays the game of baseball. Heyward has also had an outstanding season but I think the position that Posey plays is a more difficult; especially as a rookie.

He'll probably move to 1st base in his latter years.

Why should I credit Posey for handling a great pitching staff? Like it's difficult to catch pitches from guys have already learned to throw strikes. I'd like to see Posey try to handle Broxton, Sherrill, Belisario et al.

Just throwing strikes isn't good enough. You know this. Quit being a baby.

The 2.70 ERA is awesome. The 1.32 WHIP is good but not outstanding. The .619 Winning Percentage is a team stat.

But that's not meant as a slight on Garcia because he'd be my vote if it wasn't for Posey. But to suggest it's not even close is a bit extreme.
You have a habit of not being retarded I've noticed.
