    MLB allows Mark Cuban to bid on the Rangers

    Apparently the creditors don't think the bid submitted by the group led by Nolan Ryan is fair market value, so they are opening things up. A Mark Cuban bid would probably satisfy the creditors.

    Question of the day: Would MLB allow Cuban to own the Rangers? If so, then why didn't they allow his bid for the Cubs?

    Steinbrenner wanted to buy the Indians before he bought the Yankees. Maybe they were afraid he'd run them into the ground in debt and the Rangers have a larger revenue stream?

    Bud Selig = waffling wimp. There is no consistency to his method of granting ownership to teams.

    Selig: No, Frank, you're too broke to own the Red Sox. Oh, but you can have the Dodgers instead. I hate them anyway.

    I'm surprised a bit by this move. Selig wouldn't allow Cuban's bid on the Cubs, so why would he allow the bid in this case?
