Since you seem to not dispute the fact that there isn't much talent on the Padres roster if it isn't managing that has them tied in first place and the best record in the National League please enlighten me as to what does.

Attributing their unexpected success to managing is such a half-assed argument. How about Garland pitching way over his head? Or likewise, Richard and LeBlanc skating by despite mediocre peripheral stats? And I've got nothing bad to say about Latos. He's good. And they've had 7 walk off wins at home, and it was lucky random shit like Eckstein and Hairston Jr. hitting walk-off bombs.

You know what, I'll grant you that Bud Black is a much better manager than I give him credit for...if it means you truly believe his team is devoid of talent. But you can go to hell if you change your mind and then agree with PFF's stance that the team is actually as good as their record and that they're only going to get better.
