I didn't see this, but the Tigers Galarraga had a perfect game with 2 outs in the 9th and lost it on an infield single by Jason Donald. According to ESPN it was a blown/controversial call. Anyone see it? Also, is this the first time a perfect game / no hitter was lost on the last batter?

Meanwhile somewhere Bud Selig is breathing a sigh of relief as his face isnt rubbed even more in the mud as pitchers are DOMINANTING without HGH of the hitters. In turn further proving Bud Selig is as big of a joke as everyone but Bud knows.

Wow. That's a brutal call. The only thing I can think of from looking at that is the way Galarraga tagged the base...it made it look like he didn't tag it when he did at first. The ump must have thought he initially missed the base. I don't know.

As much as they have cracked down on umps, and I'm not sure what they could even do, BUT DO SOMETHING, ****. I feel like David Stern would fire the ump and then put a hit out on the ump's family. Dana White would say **** you, it's a perfect game. Roger Goodell would find out that the ump drives under the influence and screws 19 year olds and ban him half a season. Bud Selig.. will.. go to bed early tonight.

I heard about his perfect game effort and started watching online. Four outs, three outs, two outs, one out... he's got this in the bag, and then WTF?!?! At first, due to the angle, I assumed the call was close and fair, but once they could show it from outside the line, it was night and day.

Don't get me wrong, we all make mistakes and sometimes we make big humongous ones. But there needs to be some sort of corrective action here made. Galarraga will never have that moment again and something that could have truly defined his MLB career has been ruined due to a poor call.

There have been several games in which a guy got 26 consecutive outs. Pedro Martinez threw 9 perfect innings and lost his perfecto in the 10th (he lost the game, also).
