Ok, I can go with the thought process that “no one has ever heard of it so Braden must have pulled the “unwritten rule” out of his ass”………however, does anyone clearly recall players crossing the mound to go back to their respective bases as a regular occurrence? I certainly don’t see it happening, so perhaps it is just what Braden and others have claimed simply something that among players, it's a no-no.
I also happen to agree with Braden on the point that it shouldn’t matter whether he was a Cy Young winner or guy that has “won a handful of games”.
