Thread: It's way too early!

    MLB It's way too early!

It's way too early to already start all-star voting! Why do they start voting for a game 3 months away now? Can you seriously base who should be an all-star off of 15-16 games. COME ON! the season has just started and they're already voting for the mid-season all-star game. Am I the only one who thinks it is too soon?

I agree, but are you honestly surprised? It comes out this early every year.

Screw it, I'll just vote for all the Padres.

After last night. Red Sox Nation are sending in more write in votes for the MacDonald kid than any write in vote before this.

I just voted for Stephen Strasburg even though he isn't in the bigs yet. And I will create a new email address over and over so I can do it without end.

You can vote for pitchers now?

Yep, it always starts early and I think you can write in anyone you want. I am putting in votes for SRod along with our usuals.

I know it starts this early every year, and it's way too early every year.

    Re: It's way too early!

I am sure fans will ***** about the new rules. though, if they are going to "attempt" to make it count and going to play until there is a winner this should help in the event that they continue to go long and even extra inning games.

The DH will be in place even if the hosting park is in the NL.
Any pitcher that started a game on the Sunday before will not be eligible to pitch but can attend and be recognized as an All-Star.

Rosters have been expanded to 34 players.
Expanding the injured catcher rule a second position player can return to the game in the event that the last player at any position is injured.

If any of these were mention in another thread I apologize, I couldn’t locate any other current All star threads.

Not sure how anyone could vote for a pitcher except to put him in a different position on the write in section. I had to vote for S-Rod by either not checking the DH or leave off an outfielder and put him in one of those positions on the write-in.
