    Dawson only member of Hall.

Just heard on MLB network. Blyleven ended up 5 ballots short (there were 5 blank ballots). Alomar was a 73.2 percent. Larkin and Jack Morris was around 52 percent. McGwire went up to 23.7, Edgar started at 32 percent.

This is a flat out shock. I didnt expect this to be only one member.

I agree, Porter. It appears Bert and Alomar will get in next season. I was also surprised that Raines didn't get more support. His stats are very similar to those of Lou Brock (although Brock was dominating in the WS).

Vasgerian brought up a good point that Raines gets looked over because he wasn't on great teams. If you just take the names off and said Brock "A" or Raines "B". I would have taken B.

On a lighter note. David Segui got one vote.

The 5 voters who did not vote at all for anyone, do not deserve to vote at all, their voting privileges should be revoked! ****ing idiots!

I always love looking at the bottom of the ballots to see if some scrub gets a vote or two.

Blyleven deserves to be in. How many years in a row has it been that he's been this close?

Kevin Appier even got a vote. This is incredibly wrong. Some of these writers shouldn't even be considered for a job anymore. They have to be held accountable in some fashion. How can they keep doing this? They may as well use their ballot for a wiping tool than as something that is to be taken serious. I want Bud Selig to come out and start naming names.

Gammons voted for Larkin, Alomar, Byleven and Dawson. He said that on MLB network.

I wouldn't put it past Gammons to get it right. Heyman and Verducci will likely say the same things. But I wonder which of the 5 non voters is going to come out and say they were one. And if they do, they are in it for the spotlight and should be fired on the spot.

Heyman, Verducci, and Costas were all taken aback by Alomar and Larkin not getting in. Verducci projected Alomar to be around 80 percent.

This is his first year over 70%. Last year it was about 64%. Momentum is gaining for him to get in next season.
Alomar and Larkin should get in as well as Morris (maybe).

One of these days, we are going to see a ton of players get in on the same year. Too many deserving guys.

Dale Murphy is not getting any credit at all. It's a shame and all the voters should be replaced. The one year that didn't bother me was I believe 2 years ago when Ripken and Gwynn made it.

Alomar not making it is a shame. I thought for sure he would make it in on this time.
