HELL YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's about damn time. This is great news. So much so that I will use the following dancing smilies:
So long, Bud. MWAHAHAHA.

I sure hope this is true. The guy flat out just doesn't get it. Lots of things will be coming into the possibilities light if this actually does happen.
Salary cap is the biggest one that I would like to see thought out. And definitely a salary minimum of some kind.
There is a payroll minimum. 25 players, each paid at least around the minimum 3-to-4 hundred grand, that should add up close to $10 million.
But I think you are referring a league imposed salary floor, which would just force small market teams like the Pirates to overpay garbage free agents as they did with Terry Mulholland and Derek Bell, just to meet a mandate, when they could be saving it for future long-term contracts to worthy players.
Too much business and not enough about the game.
Good riddance.

Don't let the fear of striking out keep you from playing the game.
Because of that sackless putz, a billionaire philanthropist was denied the privilege to buy the Dodgers in favor of a debt driven bid by a New Englander with questionable finances, all in the name of "paying your dues" into the baseball fraternity.
