    Braves Turner Field

I wish I could of went to the old stadium which was located just north of the current stadium (Turner Field). Which is now the parking lot for Turner Field. My parents went to Atlanta-Fulton County Stadium when I was little. I wish they would of took me but instead we stayed at my grandparents house.

    Park accesibility (Parking/Public Transportation)
Turner Field is located in the middle of Atlanta right off I-75. It's pretty much next to the interstate, which is nice. I love going through Atlanta. I get to see Atlanta and Turner Field. I woke up my wife going down to see family one time and she was upset because she don't like traffic. I love Atlanta. Since Turner Field is right off the interstate it's fairly easy to get to and find.

I haven't use the public transportation in Atlanta so I can comment on it.

Ticket Features (Lines to pick up Will Call, security etc...)
When I have bought tickets it has been very easy to do. Before I left the states I went to the open series against the Nationals. Bought the tickets online. Was able to print them out then and there and ready to go. Online the page shows the seating map of turner field and the prices for each area. From what I've seen the ticket lines at the park are decent but I've never been through the lines.

    Seating
    Turner Field Seating & Pricing
I have sat in a few areas around Turner Field. For me the best section is the Goldon Moon Casino Level. I've been in the outfield and right behind homeplate but the Goldon Moon Casino Level is awesome, specially during rain delays and catching foul balls. A lot of foul balls were hit in our area. It is next to the press booths. We had a 2 hour rain delay the one night. We were able to go up inside and they have sofas to sit and concessions.

Concourses (Lots of room, enough restrooms, things to do etc...)
I don't do much at Turner Field because I don't want to miss any of the game. So pretty much from the first pitch to the last pitch I'm in my seat unless if I have to get up.

    Concessions (Price, Variety, etc)
Like at any ball park the food is some what expensive. I'm a picky eater but they do have a good variety. Season ticket holders don't have to get up. Someone comes by and they order what they want.

Joy to watch game (Obnoxious fans?, loyal fans, Loud or quiet)
So far the only time I didn't really care for a game is when the Braves play the Mets. The fans can be pretty loud and quiet. Depends on what is going on but for me there is nothing better than watching the Braves play live. Even with the Mets in town, I'm still in Atlanta and watching the Braves. Can not get any better.

    Ease to Leave
It's not too bad to leave the park. The local PD has all lanes from the park open to leave. Their is a Holiday Inn up the street so you can even walk to the park and not worry about the parking or traffic. We stayed at the Holiday Inn last time. It's pretty expensive but it is a nice hotel. They have a restaurant inside as well but the choices are pretty limited.

    Historical Factor
Atlanta-Fulton County stadium is still present where the outfield fence is outlined where it stood. The spot where Hank Aaron hit his 715 home run is marked with a plaque.

    Overall Experience
I just love going to Turner Field. Now that I live a lot closer (4 or so hours away) I'm going to try to go more often. My plan is to end up in the Atlanta area. Close enough so I can purchase season tickets. Atlanta is a great city with the best professional team in the world. I always wonder after I leave the city when I will be coming back.

I will post up pictures when I can. I did have the pictures I took from the Nationals series on my phone so I will post some up when I get the chance.

thanks for the review. I look forward to your pictures.

my Dad and I almost went for a weekend trip against the A's (2005 I believe), but it seemed really expensive for a just a weekend (flight, hotel, tickets, etc.). I believe it was over $1000, which seemed crazy because we went out to Oakland/SF for longer and more games it was less $1000. I still hope to go some day. Like many kids growing up, I ended up liking the Braves because they were always on TBS. I'd watch them all the time. I don't really watch them now, but I still sort of root for them.

    Great review man, +Rep.

The one thing that intrigues me about Turner Field is that, as much as I hate the Braves, I read last year somewhere that they have $1 day of game tickets, as well as season tickets for like 400 bucks or less. Albeit in the upper upper deck all the way in the corners of the outfield. But still, those kinds of deals are tough to pass up.

I finally remembered the pictures that I needed to upload. I have more but with my slow connection it took a bit to upload those. I will upload more later.
