    Pythagorian Standings-NL East

Winning % based. Too lazy to convert this to Won-Loss:

    Nationals-.490 (actual W%-.587)
    Braves-.581 (actual W%-.547)
    Marlins-.544 (actual W%-.528)
    Phillies-.486 (actual W%-.513)
    Mets-.508 (actual W%-.493)

So..using this method of determining W/L records, the Braves should win the division.

This also demonstrates the fact that the Nats have received a whole lotta luck in being number one in the division.

They're always in last place..no matter HOW you determine your stats (except the WIN METHOD, Pedro was on a WS team last year).

Pythagoras was a Braves fan, so I don't believe he's being objective.

Is it luck or is it just winning the right games and getting hits at the right times and such? The Nationals deserve a ton of credit for getting the wins they have without the stats to back it up. They have been winning games they shouldn't be and I wouldn't blame it on luck.

I suppose it's a bit of both. Also the fact that when they lose, they usually lose big time.

Yea that's a big one. You can probably get a few percent either way with luck, but they are almost 10% better which shows it is not just luck.
