A correction for the show last night. I said that Lincecum would be facing Scherzer but was wrong. Lincecum will be throwing Friday night with Sanchez getting his start skipped.

Witlon, I'm sorry but I would make a case that the Braves 1-4 are all better than Brett Myers, he was in the MINORS last July cause he kept giving up the long ball. You can't be serious in telling me that thats better than Vasquez (even though I think he'll have a 4-4.2 era), Jurrjens (who is really good, and stud prospect Hanson.

To say that all rookies won't be good is absurd. Lester and Paps were good 3 years ago, Buchholz 2 years ago and Masterson was very good last year in his rookie season.

The Mets have a #1 starter and then 4 #4/#5 guys, I'm sorry but the Braves have the best pitching in that division without a doubt.

Re: S3F Weekly Roundup: Week 2

I absolutely agree with the Dodgers pick over the Marlins. The Pirates, good start or not, are not the caliber of team that #1 power ranking teams should be getting swept by. The Marlins are very talented, but young and I think we should expect streaky play from them, possibly some of the hottest play and poorest through out the season (poor among good teams that is.)

I am really digging the power rankings guys, I hope to read the rest of this tomorrow.

Should the Dodgers lose 2 of 3 to the Astros who are worse than the Pirates so far? After two weeks of baseball the Marlins had the best record in baseball. Definitely deserved #1

The Braves take a back seat to the Marlins in the pitching department right now.

As do the Mets and Phillies. Phillies set a record for most HRs allowed through 14 games.

Braves are better as right now than those 2 teams. But down the road they will both eventually pass them.

Re: S3F Weekly Roundup: Week 2

Don't see how. The Mets are already threatening to demote most of the rotation and the Phillies still have Moyer and Myers, very mediocre pitchers.
