    Kevin Millar to the Mets?

There have been sources saying that Kevin Millar is not happy with his playing time. Maybe he can go to the Mets? With his bat (when it is going), he can be a great guy in the Mets lineup. He would be batting 7th in the lineup and that would be a great guy to have down there in the lineup.

    Thoughts? Opinions?

Kevin Millar to the Sox is a very good possibility, in fact, I bet he plays tonight for the Sox.

What would the Mets give for Millar though? Do the Sox want to play Olerud daily?

What would the Red s0x send to the Red s0x in the deal to get Millar? I'd say a Millar for Millar deal would be fair.

    Consider it changed.

FWIW, if anyone enters this later and wonders WTF we were talking about, the topic was title "Kevin Millar to the Red Sox"

Mientkiewicz would be pissed off all over again. Wasn't Millar and him not happy with having to share time at 1B with the Sox? Wouldn't they be sharing time again if Millar went to the Mets?

They were both pretty unhappy about the sharing thing

Yah, it wouldn't be pretty to see Millar go to Mets. It'd happen all over again.

Nothing is pretty with the Mets. They win sloppy and lose sloppy.

That said, Millar has to be better than Mientkiewicz... right?

Offensively, sure. But for so many years, mets have royally sucked on defense.
I really doubt Millar's bat could even begin to save the mets, let alone put them on par with the phillies.

We're both .500 ballclubs. I'd say we're already on par with the Phillies. Me, I want to be on par with the Chicago White Sox- that should be the goal of every team.

But the mets can only dream of being on that level.

Funny, I could say the same for the Phillies.
