Wow, that's a very interesting point. We will definitely have to see how that goes.

Wow.
Terribly sad news.
Senseless...awful...dreadful. This is just heartbreaking news...I don't know how else to react.
Let him rot in a jail cell with Donte Stallworth. :thumbdownQuote:
Andrew Thomas Gallo, 22, of Riverside will face charges of manslaughter, felony driving under the influence and hit-and-run.
This is really, really sad.
Evidently another man who died in the crash was also "affiliated with the Angels organazation."
I had a chance to talk to this kid a few times when he pitched in Cedar Rapids a couple of seasons back. He was a really nice young man and will be missed.
Things like this make you realize that ballplayers are just people that do something special. They go through the same things that we do.
RIP Nick. Condolences to family and friends.
Not a good day.
Just horrible news. The kid was only 22, just a few months younger than I am, and had only barely gotten a taste of the big league life. He was probably so full of hope and excited for his future and now it is over.
It really is a shame he didn't get the W last night, but he pitched a hell of a game so at least he went out with a bang. RIP Nick. :(
Shame on ESPN for making the Masters their front page news over this.
This sucks so bad. Adenhart was the one player that I was anticipating an exciting season from, and now he's gone, not by tearing his arm by pitching or by a freak injury on the field, but having his life taken away in the wrong place in the wrong time by the scum of the earth.

I hope this cholo asshole gets the death penalty right away. May he then get beaned continuously with needle spiked baseballs at the head for eternity in hell.
*sigh*
I've been expecting a great career from this guy for a long time...*sigh*
Along these lines of thought, ESPN has compiled a list of other tragic deaths of major leaguers:

Ive said it before with drunk driving and I'll Say it again. We need to strengthen drunk driving laws. Because its not like this hurts the moron that drove drunk this is a crime that hurts others. Set the bookcase and drop it on people first time and make it known that this stupidity will not be tolerated. Im sure this ass will probably plea it down to community service and house arrest but start dealing with this morons in ways even they can understand drop the hammer on them the first time and be consistant.
Stupidity is not a defense.
