MLB MLB GM's decline expansion of instant replay

I'm dumbfounded the decision is left to GM's to decide, considering that in a few years, a number of these morons will be pushing pens behind a desk, or in the case of Kevin Malone, working in a car dealership.

Don't let the fear of striking out keep you from playing the game.

You know what, **** instant replay. I think you'll find as many classless coaches/managers who will abuse the system as those who will actually need it. The practice is a joke in the NFL. Rex Ryan pulling out the challenge flag to reverse a tiptoed catch down the sidelines that was pretty trivial during that point of the game and something he probably didn't see with his own two eyes until it was replayed on the big screen was the epitome of ******ry. I actually can't blame Vincent Jackson for kicking it back toward Rex as a "**** You" gesture. In MLB, it's bad enough Jorge Posada appeals every freaking check swing by the opposing batter.

Andy Reid is jumping up and down at the thought of screwing up in another sport.

Though I applaud the idea of getting some more things added to the things that can be replayed, it's gonna make the game a lot longer. With some manager sure to screw it up, causing his team to loose its gonna be hard on teams too. It's a terrible catch 22.

I don't see the real need outside of homerun replays.

Is that whats causing all that shaking coming from the Northeast?

Anyways. You could expand it like Tennis is on fair and foul balls. Give the umps a bit more leeway to "let them play". Anything more takes away from the game unless you replace umpires altogether with sensors and machines.

"Oh, don't mind me, I'm rebuilding now" then you win at least 80 games

So this was declined as the thread title suggests, right? In other words; we are complaining for nothing aren't we? Sounds like there will be no expansion of replay and that we don't have to worry about the game taking longer or thecredibility of umpires. At least for now. Or do I have this twisted somehow?

And on the GM poke; these guys will eventually be in sex addiction rehab centers, much less car dealers.
