7. Josh Willingham and Scott Olsen for Emilio Bonafacio and P.J. Dean: Why the **** does Bonafacio's trade value keep going up?

It looks like I was incorrect on which team got the better end, but still, I'm not wrong that this was a bad trade. A bad trade for the Nats. Bonafacio is second in the league in hitting (trailing Cristian Guzman ) while Willingham and Olsen have sucked.

For those of you who thought Ibanez was one of the worst signings, he has five homers in twelve games which is the team lead. Long season but so far so good.

I wouldn't say it was one of the worst, but they paid more for him than they would have for Burrell. And let's be fair, Ibanez has been good so far, but that's a hitter's park. Most MLB power hitters would be doing just as well. My argument wasn't that the signing was bad, just that they overpaid.

Burrell was asking for more when they signed Ibanez. Have to put that in some kind of context. Burrell had to wait and watch his asking price to come down in order to get a deal.

True, but the Phillies are a team who had the money, they could have afforded to wait, since everyone knew the price on some of those OF's would drop.

Not my fault Maddon prefers the Gabe's over Joyce. Jackson has looked good so far but he had a great start last year too. Where did he end up? I will have the last laugh. Ok, the first and last laugh.

Not everyone knew. Manny held things up for everyone. Besides Ibanez was better than Burrell and deserved more.

Everyone assumed that the prices would eventually come down, we just didn't know when. And Ibanez being better than Burrell is arguable, especially since Ibanez is older and probably shouldn't have gotten 3 years guaranteed...

I agree with three years guaranteed but he is better than Burrell. Burrell hit for more power but was one of the streakiest hitters in all of baseball. Ibanez is consistent. Why would the Phillies wait on Ibanez and possibly lose out on both Burrell and Ibanez. You have to strike while the iron is hot especially when Burrell was looking for $12-14 million.

Ibanez will be fine, I don't think he started hot last year either, i feel like he came on in May-June
