Bill Hall is a SS, Cubbie.

Fisher: Hall would have been a good pick and he probably could have gotten my vote. He has done a great job at SS. He has made the most of his opportunity with his playing time as he filled in for the struggling J.J. Hardy, who was supposed to be the starting SS this season for the Brewers.

My vote was for Eckstein. The guy is a great leadoff man which the NL will need and has only struckout 18 times.

It's interesting how two days ago, Cesar Izturis was leading the NL shortstop voting over David Eckstein by about 44,000 votes ... and now it appears that somehow, Eckstein magically took over the lead from Izturis by over 330,000 votes. A 375,000 vote swing. In two days. Well done, Major League baseball.

I wonder if Kenny Rogers is going to be selected to the All-Star Game? He's got good numbers, but what will Terry Francona do given the situation?

  9. #39
Kenny Rogers is interesting. I think Francona should choose him, and if the MLB suspends him for the event, so be it. He's been the 2nd best (IMO) SP in the AL, he deserves it.

Gotta love the New Yaurkers and the they are smarter than everyone else act .

Beltran=Joke but he isnt the only one.

There are plenty of 3b who deserve to be All Star starter over Scott Rolen.

Mike Piazza doesnt deserve to even be there, let alone starting either again thank you ballot stuffers from NY, not like there arent enough of you out there to begin with .

Congrats to all those that made it. Interesting to see Jeter not make it. Francona have something to do with that? He did not make the fan vote, nor did he make the player's vote. Anyhow, I think these were not as great of choices as could be. How could Derek Lee not be starting?

Oh well, I can't wait to catch this game.
