That was the season with no good candidates. Kind of like the AL this year. They're going to have to give it to someone by default (Morneau? Quentin? Hamilton?). Ugh.

I wouldn't have picked Tejada.

I personally think the only award that's wrapped up is the AL Cy, but knowing the weird tendencies by voters, KRod will pick up a lot of support and thus make things.. strange.
Who are your picks now for:
NL MVP
NL Cy Young
AL MVP
AL Cy Young
NL MVP: Albert Pujols- Without Pujols, the cards are where the Reds are. He IS the team.
NL Cy Young: Tim Lincecum- Santana and Webb might get some support on reputation but Webb pitched his way out of it
AL MVP: Im going to think outside the box. What about Vlad? Most likely going to win it Boston BS wins out Dustin Pedroia.
AL Cy Young: Cliff Lee- Saves dont happen if the starter doesnt pitch well. 22-2> 60+ saves.

Another one you got wrong then, since Tejada won.

He's 22-3.

Hmm...this is a real tough one!:laugh::laugh: I wonder who the MVP is?!?!:laugh::laugh::laugh:
Yeah, maybe its the better all around hitter. Pujols no doubt.
Re: Where do you stand now with your award picks?
NL MVP- Pujols no doubt about it. He is the best hitter in baseball and he kept the Cards in contention into the final month. Cards will have a better record than the NL West winner. You do not have to be in the playoffs to win this award but simply keep your team in contention. Pujols has been there all year, Howard hasn't and its not close.
NL Cy Young- Lincecum since his numbers are outstanding. Santana has moved into second place with me.
AL MVP- Its a tie with Morneau and Youkilis. Youkilis has been there all year and even had to play two positions there for while and did that at a high level. Morneau has been driving in runs all year and is a great guy to have with RISP. His .306 average helps too.
AL Cy Young- Cliff Lee and there shouldn't be a first place vote going anywhere else.

I guess the right choice always wins. Baseball writers are immorals!
Re: Where do you stand now with your award picks?
I do like the fact that both can hit in clutch situations. But it's Winnie the Pujols all the way.
Re: Where do you stand now with your award picks?
Another HR and an RBI double for Howard last night to help the Phillies to an important win. Howard's hitting around .350 with 11 HR in September, not too bad. 46 HR and 146 RBI on the year.
Re: Where do you stand now with your award picks?
I thought it was 47?
It would be nice if he just went off in the last game to reach 50.
Re: Where do you stand now with your award picks?
It's 48 HR actually. I mistyped. The RBI total was too similar that it ****ed me up.
Re: Where do you stand now with your award picks?
NL MVP: Albert Poojolz
NL Cy Young: CC Sabathia*
AL MVP: Dustin Pedroia
AL Cy Young: Cliff Lee had 2 months ago
Gets my pick if he puts the fear of God into the cubs Sunday, otherwise Tim Lincecumdumpster for the victory.
Re: Where do you stand now with your award picks?
Well, Howard's playing well in September. Forget about all the other months, he's the MVP.
