maybe theyre trying something different because before that they would be directly competing with March Madness? This way theyre only competing against the NBA and NHL (which largely draws very little in most MLB cities). Where as from the middle of March til the end of the first week of april is dominanted by NCAA tournament?

IIRC, this season was a rare one that we didn't have 1 or 2 games in October to end the season. Am I right, or am I right?

Can we retart the 2008 season?

So, teams have to earn the right to play a game in October?

The playoffs have nothing to do with it? It's a sacred month?

I don't have a problem ending the season the first few days of Oxtober, the problem is the World Series ending in November.

i guesse that makes sense, but this year didn't the MLB for most teams start on march 31st? also having WS in november and extending the season further into the year means competing with the NFL for longer.

Especially if the Northern teams get to the series -- Cleveland, Detroit, Chicago could have snow that early.
