First replay used tonight!
With the Yankees up 6-3 in the 9th inning, Alex Rodriguez hit a homerun off Troy Percival that bounced off the catwalk behind the foul pole. The 3rd base ump ruled that it was a homerun, but Rays catcher Dioner Navarro protested, as did Joe Maddon, so the umps went to check out the replay and upheld A-Rod's oh-so-important-and-meaningful-yet-again homerun. This goes down as the first use of replay in baseball. And now you know. History has been made.
And ARod would be involved.
