    Eh, who cares once the game is over. No hitters and perfect games are all about suspense, and unless it was ruled an error before the 7th inning or so, the suspense and juice behind it was lost.

    I'm glad they didn't rule it an error after the appeal. It would have been silly. It wasn't a clear error. As someone who pitched, its hard making plays down the third base line. Even if he grabs the ball, he still has to make throw. Its one of those situations that if they gave him an error, and a no-hitter wasn't going on, you would have watched the game and called it a harsh error.

    CC handled it well, he's still young... he'll have plenty of opportunities to do it again. Who knows, with the way he has been pitching, he could toss a no-no next start.
