Last shot coming up for the Redbirds.

It's probably over with the way Wells has pitched tonight.

    Why is Foulke pitching?

Wells was good enough to get a CG.

Foulke is just lost right now.

He is not throwing strikes and his pitches are way off.

    Foulke survives.

    Boston avoid the sweep.

Foulke nails it down, despite the shaky outing. Maybe the Sox should have added Graves.

Congrats. on salvaging one after the LONG delay tonight, Sox!

Homer: We're proud of you, boy.

Bart: Thanks, Dad. But part of this D-minus belongs to God.

Red Sox got a huge win as they gain a game in the AL East. A game that they really needed. They need to start gaining some games with the Orioles all of sudden slumping.

It was a great game and I am glad I got to watch with the Twins spanking Arizona early. Both pitchers pitched good. Difference is Wells pitched better as he was just mowing the Cardinals down. Carpenter had that bad inning in the seventh and that was the game.

I think Wells has turned his season around after a rough start. Ever since he came off the DL, he has been golden. Red Sox pitching has kept them to survive so far. Clement has been awesome. Arroyo has been solid. If Schilling can get back on track and if Wells can keep this up, Boston is the team to beat in baseball. Red Sox and the Red Sox nation should be very encouraged with the Wells has pitched in the DL. That was a masterful performance out there tonight. That's the Wells that Yankees fans have grown to love.

I am glad there was no nonsense that took place like Tuesday night with the beanballs by both teams. What was done last night was done. I am glad it was baseball and what you saw was a good game.

Here's hoping for another Red Sox game of the week next week. :P
