Mike Piazza officially retires.

He did get to the world series with the mets.. that's going to be the ultimate factor vs. the team you broke in with and established yourself with. But does he go wrong wearing either? I doubt it.

Congrats on the retirement, Piazza. He's definately one of the best (if not the best) offensive catcher to ever walk on the field. And as much as I want him to go into the Hall with the Dodgers, I think it's gonna be with the Mets simply because that's where he really established himself and became a household name.

Just wanted to add that I have never seen a player with more opposite field power than Piazza. Seemed like every homerun was either to straight away center or right field.
