Spur of the moment comments seldom have actual meanings. If the guy says it a lot, it may be time to look elsewhere for an announcer.

It's like he didn't know what to say but felt he had to say something so he just blurted out the most random thing that first came in his head.

That call made Steve Quis look like a hall of fame announcer.

Kevin Millar twisting the meaning of something so obvious as the designated hitter:

"He (Pat Burrell) didn't know how to DH. People assume you just put your big bopper in the DH slot and he hits his 35 home runs."

Worse, they cut to Ken Rosenfail who agreed, "Kevin is exactly right."

Forgot who said it but it was on WGN the other day during the Cubs/Giants games and Jeff Baker, while playing third, threw the ball away at first.
"That ball was hit right at Jeff Baker and there lies the problem". I thought it was hilarious.

If Yogi wasn't a ballplayer he could have made a living as a comedian. He doesn't even need to try, the things that come out of his mouth are hilarious.

"I can tell you one thing.. No matter what happens in this series Joe Girardi will be starting CC game one and Joe Maddon will be starting David Price in game one." - Aaron Boone

No shit you retard. I hate listening to him.. His voice is so annoying and the stuff he says is absolutely retarded. Who would have thought that those two would be starting game one for those teams in the playoffs? Not me!

"Ross 0 for 3 in Halladay's perfect game when he was a Marlin" - ESPN announcer recapping last night's Giants-Phillies game.

Well, I didn't think he was anything but 0 for something in a perfect game.

He could have been 0-for-2 if they pinch-hit for him later in the game.

Didn't really know where to put this but it was one of the dumbest things I have heard all year. Rob Parker was on 1st and 10 and the subject was if the Red Sox were done or not. He pronounced them done with the Sox only being four games out. Then they went to the White Sox who were 11 games out and he said they still had a chance. What the fuck kind of logic is that?? Sad thing is no one laughed him off the show!! I would have told him to shut the fuck for the rest of eternity after making such a stupid comment.

He should have just said they both had a chance. What area does Rob Parker cover? Maybe he's a NY homer. Or had too much of Woody Paige's secret sauce.

Parker is a Detroit guy but never has anything positive to say about Detroit teams ever. No way Parker should be allowed back after saying such stupid shit.
