    Kosuke Fukudome

It'll be interesting to see how hard teams go after him because everything I've heard, and the very little I've seen shows dude to be a pretty nice ballplayer. I know the Red Sox will be linked to him but I just don't see the need.

    My take = Kosuke Fukudome

He reportedly agreed to a 4 year deal with the Cubbies.

Wonder if the Cubs will put him at leadoff and put Soriano in the fifth spot?

That's what I was thinking. I watched him play a little, and he has gap power but not homerun power. Seems like a pretty good leadoff hitter to me.

Could be, but he's seems to have almost everything to be a good leadoff hitter. (great patience, gap power, some speed) I don't know how good a contact hitter he is...I'll wait and see (aka go see if I can find any videos/other stats).
