Not a "scandal" but the only thing that came close to hurting the game as much as the Black Sox throwing the series was the strike in 94. Babe Ruth "saved" the game following 1919, and sadly enough the steroid era helped baseball get back after the strike.. kind of ironic.

1 year, actually just a handful of games were tainted.

Bonds has tainted some of the most hallowed records in all of sports and did so over a number of seasons. Yes, fixing a championshit is bad. Hosing up record books takes it to a new level.

Bonds was never a savior in the first place.

I believe the question was who will bring baseball back now that Bonds and his gang has brought it down.

I think savior is a reference to the players* that hit* home runs* after the strike. And it's a list of what 3?
    Mark*, Sosa*, Bonds*
