    My vote: C.C. Sabathia

He has pitched outstanding all year. He'd be a 20+ game winner if it wasn't for the offensive slump the team was in where he'd pitch a helluva game and the offense wouldn't come through to put a run or two up to get him the W.

Fausto has to be ahead of Lackey and Verlander at this point.

I would think so, but he really hasn't had much media coverage throughout the year. He was a realative unknown coming into the season.

Plus I wanted to be fair and not have two Indians in the poll.

There should be no doubt about it, it's Sabathia. For more of my comments, turn your attention to the Indians forum.

As for Lackey, I would put him ahead of Carmona anytime. Lackey has been one of the most underrated pitchers in all of baseball. Look at his career thus far. Not only that but he keeps getting better.

Lackey has had the better career, but Carmona has had the better season.

Because of his massive .08 ERA lead? Hilarious. Their stats are almost identical except for strikeouts where Lackey has 40+ more. I will stick with Lackey over Carmona.

    Re: AL Cy Young Award

I really want to say Beckett out of bias and he might get it anyway for 20+ wins, but C.C. has 234 IP with a low 3 ERA.

Fausto, Beckett, and others deserve consideration too

Then out of fairness to the others you will be Slagathor.

Carmona has fewer losses, a better ERA and a better WHIP. And yet you put Lackey ahead. Anyways.

EDIT: And less run support and more quality starts for Carmona too!

    Re: AL Cy Young Award

It's going to take a lot more than one fewer loss, a .08 lead in ERA and a .02 lead in WHIP to change my mind. Lackey has more strikeouts, less walks, one more shutout and a bunch of other stats that make my case just as you have.

Chien Ming Wang is going to finish in the Top 8. Just Sayin'.

Hello CC, my perennial pick in my family league. This year, I copped out with Johan and CC rapes

I'm serious too, I'll try and get my pops back on here to verify.

I'm not saying who should win, but Beckett will win.
I did a lot of good things as a sim league GM.

Ah, give me something clever to say here.

I think C.C. should win. I'd have Wang second, he's the only solid pitcher in the Yankees pathetic rotation.
