pretty much
The best player in best baseball will always be debatable but he he is up there thats for sure.
"For someone who was never meant for this world, I must confess I'm suddenly having a hard time leaving it. Of course, they say every atom in our bodies was once part of a star. Maybe I'm not leaving... maybe I'm going home."
Its very hard to say "greatest ballplayer of all-time" because its very hard to compare different eras, Ruth probably was the greatest player of his era, not the greatest of alltime.
I think if Clemens gets through this steroid era unscathed, he will challenge anyone for the greatest baseball player ever.
Pretty much a no brainer. One hilarious thing was that on The Herd with Collin Cowherd he said that there are only three true superstars in the history of sports. Muhammad Ali, Michael Jordan and Tiger Woods. A caller called in to say Babe Ruth and Cowherd shot him down by saying that he never saw him play. Ruth is the reason why there is a word superstar. He was bigger than the game and life itself. ******* I hate Cowherd. How wrong can a guy be?
I'm not a fan of Cowheard myself, but he's not wrong, he's just stating his opinion, just like we all are, like you other might think Ruth is best player ever, I dont think so because IMO its very hard to judge different eras in baseball, Ruth was the best player of his era, Williams was the best player of his era, Mays was the best player of his era, and Bonds is the best player of his era.
