    Tom Glavine wins #300!

The Mets defeated the Cubs 8-3 as Glavine gave up 6 hits and 2 runs in 6.2 IP. He only struck out one but held the Cubs offense in check and joins the elusive 300 win club...congrats Tom!
I did a lot of good things as a sim league GM.

Ah, give me something clever to say here.

I believe he is the 23rd to reach this milestone.

yes he is and only the 5th lefty to accomplish the feat. First lefty since Steve Carlton did it in 1983.

Congrats Glavine! This might be the last pitcher ever to reach this milestone. Glavine you are well deserving of this!

John Smoltz would be getting close if he didn't close for a few years and now he is the only pitcher to have at least 200 win and 250 saves.

Smoltz is a definite first ballot HOFer!!! And you are right, he would be knocking on that door of 300 wins himself. But he is still a great one!!! No doubt on that!!!

    Good to see this.

First ballot for sure, but I hope the other two to go in at Smoltz, an Maddox. That would be special.

Glavine is a trip and to win 300 games is amazing. He doesn't overpower hitters but he gets people out.

    Good for him.
