    Third Time's a charm

DETROIT (AP) -- Detroit Tigers' infielder Neifi Perez was suspended for 80 games Friday after testing positive for a third time for a banned stimulant, a penalty that finishes his season.

Perez was suspended for 25 games on July 6 when he tested positive for a second time. Under baseball's labor contract, a player who tests positive for the first time is sent for counseling.

Perez has been the only player suspended by baseball for stimulants since they were banned before the 2006 season.

I mean, how stupid is Neifi while being suspended, did he think that he'll never get busted again? Well, wrong. Busted. Oh, I forgot that he is just a back up scrub who was not that successful and will never as long as in the professional career?

Hm, sounds like Onterrio Smith of the MLB.

You have to wonder with guys like this if their arrogance (thinking they won't get caught) mix together in a horrible cocktail with stupidity to make them someone who is not just a dumbass, but one who thinks he isn't that way despite showing signs of it time after time.

Whatever the stimulant was, it surely wasn't Ritalin.

The stimulant was likely an amphetamine or something similar, which has a 3-day life in your system. It doesn't affect you like steroids, while still keeping you up. You can tell because Perez was suspended under the stimulant rules rather than the steroid rules.

Apparently he was taking medication for ADHD.
I did a lot of good things as a sim league GM.

Ah, give me something clever to say here.
