well, we all knew this day was coming...I can't wait for the day when A-Rod breaks the Bonds' record.
I am watching the game on ESPN, and the annoucers said Binds can't wait til A-Rod breaks the record either. I can't wait for that day also!! Guess everybody agrees with you Providence!
At least he didn't hit it against the Braves.

Or the Brewers!!!
Good for him.
[/sarcasm]
C'mon, Marlins. I know you guys have a lot more meatballs to serve to Bonds.
If Bonds can't wait, why doesn't he retire and say he cheated, say it started when he was at 499 HRs, and wait for ARod to hit one in the next few days?
Just sayin'.
Didn't know this thread was about Arod.
Congrats to Barry! One more to tie, two more to be on the top of the highest mountain in proffessional sports!
I didn't know we were only allowed to talk about Bonds...my comment about A-Rod is somewhat related as he is the closest person with a legitimate threat...Sosa and Griffey won't play long enough. And yes, of course A-Rod could get hurt and not break what will soon be Bonds' record, but if he stays healthy for the most part, it shouldn't even be close. If Griffey were healthy all those years, we might not even be talking about Bonds.
Here we go again, A's fans talking shit about Bonds or any Giants related crap, go figure.
Here we go again, Giants fan defending Bonds just because he's a Giant...go figure.
First off, I wasn't talking shit. I stated an opinion that if A-Rod stays healthy, he'll break whatever the record ends up being and that if Griffey had been healthy he may have been ahead of Bonds. Second off, it wouldn't matter to me what team Bonds was on...it has nothing to do with him being on the Giants. I may be an A's fan, but I live in RI and the whole Giants/SF and A's/Oakland rivalry doesn't have much impact on me. I'm not involved in the social/class differences in the bay area.
My point is this thread is about Bonds, not Arod, so there was no point of bringing a player who isn't close to breaking the record to this discussion.
Whats the big deal? He is just stating his opinions wether you like them or not.
