A good game with a rather exciting ending to it. And I also won the bet.

Then out of fairness to the others you will be Slagathor.
Larussa cost us this one!
He didn't hit Pujols for selfish reasons....he isn't 100%
If he's not healthy enough to swing the bat he should have given his spot to someone who is!
He should have hit for Lee.
Lee isn't hitting for any power this year and Pujols could have won the game with one swing!
I agree if Larussa had no means of playing Pujols in the game cuz he wasn't 100% then the spot should have went to someone else who was at 100%.
I dont think La Russa cost the game, he didn't put Pujols in because he was the only position player left, so if the games goes in to extra he wouldn't have had anyone off the bench to possibly pinch-hit.

So you guys really think Pujols would have hit a GW homerun comming off the bench? Also there were other players who did not play, does that make La Russa a hater because he didn't put those other guys in?
You guys are making a big deal about this, its not like the guys out there are bunch of shmucks or anything, there ****ing allstars, not benchwarmers.
wow, very entertaining game once it got going. I'm glad the AL hung on...I made quite a few chips on the game.
I don't know what you're attributing to me, but that's the first thing I've said in this thread. All I know is that Pujols is a much better hitter than Rowand and would have given them a better shot to win or tie the game. Also, the bases were loaded so they didn't need a GW HR off the bench, just a single. Either way, like I said, Pujols gives you a better shot.

^^^What he said. The Esquire selfishly kept his precious Pujols out of the game.
