What is the hardest thing to do in sports?

What do you think it is?

    1. Hit a baseball?
    2. Make a shot?
    3. Kick a goal?
    4. Serve an ace?
    5. Make a field open tackle?
    6. Other (please tell)

I have to go with hit a baseball. You have to rotate the hips, keep your eye on the ball. And it is overall quite hard IMO.

Make a shot. I think you meant kick a FG, so I didn't pick that.

I think he means kick a (soccer) goal. I went with hit a baseball. It is known as the hardest thing by most, due to the speed at which pitchers throw, the bat type/width, and the size of the ball coming at you.

Hitting a baseball CLEANLY by a pitcher who has an arm on him is the hardest thing in sports.

    Depends on the scenario.

Hitting a baseball vs. The Rocket would be next to impossible for me personally. But so would trying to serve an ace vs. Serena Williams. Or trying to make a shot with Tracy McGrady guarding me. Or trying to make an open field tackle on Michael Vick.

They would all be very difficult.

Depends what you mean by hit. I can make contact (foul off). I can't hit though.

Hardest for me would be kicking a soccer goal. Professional goalees are no joke.

The asumption in hit a baseball can vary...I went with that option because of all the different pitchers and deliveries plus pitches and "speed" of pitches.

Then the batter has to drop it in somewhere or shoot it through the infield for a hit. Let alone the homerun efforts.

Baseball is the only major sport, IMO, that being successful 30% of the time is considered good. Batting .300. In basketball if you shot 30% from the field you would be asked to not shoot as much. If you complete 30% of yur passes in football, you would be cut from the team or benched if your are lucky. If you convert 30% of your field goals in football...again you would be cut. As a goalie, if you stopped 30% of the shots on goal in soccer or hockey that would lead you to the unemployment line.
