Thread: Rank the top 5 pitchers in each league

  1. #1

Rank the top 5 pitchers in each league

Make a top rotation for each league as of today.

    Here's mine (flamesuit on)

Keep in mind I don't watch much NL, so I'm mostly going from past seasons and stats.

    NL:
    1. Pedro Martinez
    2. Dontrelle Willis
    3. Roger Clemens
    4. Tim Hudson
    5. Jake Peavy

    AL:
    1. Roy Halladay (I'm biased)
    2. Mark Buehrle
    3. Johan Santana
    4. Randy Johnson (sliding, but he's still one of the best when he's on)
    5. John Garlans (put him here against my will)

I'm not gonna make it strictly this year, still early yet, pitchers will turn it around... just look at Johan last year... I'm gonna factor in stuff, a little bit of the past and a little bit of the future...

    1. Jake Peavy
    2. Oliver Perez
    3. AJ Burnett
    4. Pedro Martinez
    5. Livan Hernandez

    1. Johan Santana
    2. Curt Schilling
    3. Randy Johnson
    4. Roy Halladay
    5. Rich Harden

Shit, I forgot Clemens in the NL... well, I'd be hard pressed not to put him 1... so I'll put him there, and Peavy will be 1A

Hard to argue that he isn't one of the best pitchers in MLB right now. If the all-star game was this weekend, he would be the starting pitcher in the NL most likely.

It's funny, if you guys are going to whore over current performance, why do you pick the guy who hasn't even been the best pitcher in the AL this year. That would be Kenny Rogers
