Delgado's struggles this year seem to be going entirely unnoticed or unmentioned by the media.

He had a down year last year in hitting the ball and this year he's looking really just horrific at the plate, but I haven't heard a single thing about it.

Double play, nice job by Robbie and Doug there.

    1-0 Metsies after 3.

Clippard got the DP ball, he looked good that inning... a lot calmer.

what the hell was Beltran doing
nobody's going to fall for that and go for the tag on you, and Delgado's not even a good enough runner for your little hesitance to help

I was looking as his splits a few days ago and his stats versus lefties are just bizarre. His OBP is basically the same as BA as he has zero walks and virtually no EBH's, but he was hitting plus .300 against them.

Abreu draws a leadoff walk...long time since I've seen that from him.

abreu might be finding himself at the plate, finally... his eye is coming back, and hes been hitting the ball with authority to the opposite field... zero chance he should be a yankee next year though, not for 18 million dollars certainly.

Yeah, please don't pick up that option for $18 mil...

Doug walks on 4 pitches, wow.

maine walks around the pitiful mientkiewicz for the pitcher. doesnt matter if he grounds into a dp, lays down a bunt or strikes out... damon wont get a 2 out hit anyway.

and he gets down the bunt... 2nd and 3rd 2 outs for damon, who aged like 40 years this season.
