He still hasn't finished celebrating the title.

Anyone that drinks and drives is stupid. He should be arrested and the bond should of been a lot more than $500.

I'm actually a little surprised by this as I thought Tony was a little smarter than that.

Couldn't find a better version, it starts at 0:40 after they're done with the YMCA intro.

why should he be treated than anyone else? thats pretty standard for first time offense of DUI.

    bad decision though, all around.

I'm just thankful it was LaRussa and not Jocketty that was caught DWI.

Maybe all that micro-managing finally caught up to Tony physically and emotionally and he resorted to the bottle for solace?

Re: Tony LaRusa arrested for DWI.

Tony La Russa pleaded guilty to driving under the influence Wednesday, eight months after police found him asleep inside his running sport utility vehicle at a stop light and smelling of alcohol.
La Russa will serve at least six months' probation, pay a $678.50 fine, complete DUI school and any recommended treatment and complete 50 hours of community service, according to state prosecutors.
As a person who has had two DUI's (I know), LaRussa in no way got the special treatment celebrities and athletes get. I never had to do any community service or probation. Congrats for the courts making an example out of LaRussa.

Looks like he got the standard punishment for that county.

There actually is a difference...DUI means you're drunk and over the legal limit and DWI means that you're drunk but under the legal limit. Either way it's not cool. I too am a bit ashamed at Tony. He's an icon not just here but all over the nation-thought he would've known better.
