Yay for people finally realizing that Freddy won the batting title.

As for Harang, I didn't know he tied for the wins lead, although it doesn't really matter, because his team didn't do anything.

Wow Freddy who? really now the only pirate I know the name very well is Sean Casey, only due to the fact he came from the Reds recently

The pirates did so much better then the reds did, oh snap 5th place only ahead of last place by 1 game, shock they didn't end in last place lol

with only 67 wins you did so great with your batting champ

Please note that Mr D's knowledge of the existance of other team's players is not an indication of the average fan's knowledge of such.

That being said, it is rather funny seeing a Pirate fan talking smak about another team "not really doing anything"

Edit: Ahh, I'll leave that alone in good taste.

I wasn't talking smak, I'm a firm believer that if your team doesn't make the playoffs, the stats don't matter much at all. But as a Pirates fan, I have to revel in the few things the team did right last year. Letting Freddy hit the ball was one of them.

The stats don't mean much in regards to the team, but it still says something for what that individual player can do.

That being said, the W/L column on a pitcher's stat sheet is vastly overrated.

you mean aknowledge of the existance of teams like the pirates

they are nothing more then the Baseball version of the Cleveland Browns

I don't aknowledge them as a challenge to the Reds

Please, don't disrespect the city of Pittsburgh by comparing anything about Pittsburgh to Cleveland.

And how about a sig bet on the Pirates being no challenge to your "almighty and powerfull" Reds.If we win,I choose a sig for you to sport...if the Reds win you choose a sig for me to sport...if we tie,it's a wash and we can sport whatever sigs we feel.

explain your terms, you mean win one game? if so then there are so many games we face eachother in that would be back and forth

or as in who has the better record against eachother after the last game we face eachother?

or if the reds win the division or pirates win the division?

oh and as far as Pittsburgh as city to cleveland is not what I mean

Pirates are the version of the browns lol, Steelers are far better then the clowns

Sorry I didn't explain my terms better,I was pressed for time.

I think the Pirates and Reds play each other 19 times this season.Whichever team wins the season series, that person's team wins. However,if we end up splitting the series do to a rained-out game that never gets made up,then it's a wash and we can just keep our iwn sigs.

Oh,and the Pirates are nothing like the Browns.AT least Lerner wants to win,his team just has horrible luck and when they do make a FA splash...thier guys get hurt (LeCharles Bentley,Gary Baxter).

The Nuttings just don't seem to care about putting a winning team on the field. If they do,it will be by accident.

And I know my Steelers are better than the Clowns,we have swept the season series 3 years in a row.

So, if one team wins the first 9 straight does the loser put on the sig right away? Or do you still wait till August?
