Most riddiculous internet poll of all time.

    http://www.sportsline.com/mlb

they're asking who you'd pick 1st round in your fantasy baseball draft.

Here are the options they give you in the poll.

    Barry Zito
    Jose Vidro
    David Ortiz
    Greg Maddux
    Gerald Laird
    Ricky Nolasco

    WTF?

The only people on that list i'd even consider would be Zito or David Ortiz.

Who would pick Jose Vidro, Greg Maddux, Gerald Laird, or Ricky Nolasco 1st round in fantasy baseball without getting laughed off the table?

That's hilarious. I voted Nolasco, he's in 3rd and ready to come back for the win.
I did a lot of good things as a sim league GM.

Ah, give me something clever to say here.

Could be worse. I could've spelled it like most people do on the internet.

As long as nobody abbreviates it to "redic." That pisses me off.

In my opinion that poll is easy in terms of which you would want for fantasy points, David Ortiz. Last season he had a total of 1,898 fantasy points while Zito had only 732. So for the only 2 names on the list worth considering, to me there is really only one name.
"They asked me if I wanted the ball in Game 6, and I said yes. I'll always say yes. That's what I did with Jack McKeon. I told him, 'Let me see how I feel tomorrow.' I went out, did a long toss, came in and said, 'I'll pitch, I want it, I want to do it.' And it ended up working out." -Josh Beckett

That would proabably explain why David Ortiz leads the poll with 77 percent of the vote.

    Zito has 13 percent...in 2nd

Noralsco is in 3rd with 4 percent.

Anyone who voted for someone other than Ortiz or Zito probably voted for the other guy for the same reason I sarcastically voted for Jose Vidro.

The poll doesn't say who you'd pick "first round", it asks who you'd pick "first", probably meaning "among this group of players".

Still a ridiculous poll, even if that's the intent.

Depends on the fantasy point setup, some leagues give points for assists, which Ortiz would never have any. That's about the only roadblock between Ortiz and being 100% in this poll. Since Vidro isn't much of a triples hitter and doesn't steal bases, those facets are over. If the league places a lot of emphasis on k's, wins, and/or innings pitched, Zito and Nolasco's value significantly increases.

I'm surprised Fisher hasn't raided the CBS Sports offices wondering why Gerald Laird was included and Matt Stairs wasn't.

How about none of the above? Wow, what a joke.
