Opinions and discussion question for the forum.

Where will Bonds end up playing next season? Do you think anyone will take a chance on him?

Personally, I think he may end up in Detroit next year DHing for his old skipper? Maybe he may even consider Pittsburgh, the place where it all started? I still will stick with Detroit though.

I really don't think there are too many options left for Barry in the MLB. He may have wore his welcome out and just maybe teams will not want to have the media circus that would be around on a regular basis til he breaks the record.

As long as Barroid doesn't end up with the White Sox, I'll be happy.

He will end up in the AL somewhere and be that waste of a position that is DH. I dont really care where, I wish it would be with Jose Canseco in the Indy Leagues but some GM will gamble on him.

I know there is a market for Bonds, but if I was a GM, I sure wouldn't want that media circus around 24/7. I think I hear Detroit calling more and more!

    Giants.

He's staying West Coast, and Detroit doesn't want or need him.

    Brewers

I don't know about the Detroit thing. Arent him and Sheffield big buddies? Leyland is his ex-skipper. Oakland is a possible destination. Now that Big "Hurt" (cause of his injuries now) is gone. And Bonds is still in the Bay area. Good one A's Diehard!!!!!

I said it before the season ended, and I will say it again, Bonds will be a Giant and finish his career here, because if he goes outside of SF he will get booed and thrown shit at him.
In SF he is loved and welcome here, Bonds needs the Giants, than the Giants need Bonds.

If I was Sabean I would make Bond's contract like this.
    2 yr-16-18m
but Bonds will have a chance to earn more money by insentives by doing this
    30hr-1m
    100rbi-1m
    100bb-1m
    40hr-1m
    300ab-1m
    500PA-1m
    .500OBP-1m
    .600slg-1m

He will have a chance to make 15-17 million if he does all that.

I think Bonds in better off staying with the Giants. He can keep all of his problems with the team that he was on when it all started.

Bonds should retire. All he wants is the HR record.

ummm.. no disrespect Draven. But he wants more than just the record, he is asking for $18 mil on a 1-year deal! Please, I guess most of us are in the same boat as the rest of the MLB. No one wants Bonds, at for $18 mil. He neeeds to stick a pin in his big ego and get over himself!!! He is NOT worth that amount of $$$ any more. Plus, it doesn't seem that any team wants to have the "problems" that Bonds brings with him or the media attention!!! Bonds even went to the winter meetings to do whatever he set out to accomplish and he is still without a team. What is that telling us, umm, I think we all know the answer. Even Peter Gammons, is aware of this, and he is ine of the top insiders in all of baseball!

Congrats to you GiantsFan. You were right, Bonds will be with the Giants. Do you really and honestly feel at this point in his career he is worht $16 mil. though?
