Rogers and Pudge do it again and Grudz finally gets one since he was robbed last year. Congrats to all.

No big surprises on Rogers and Pudge, and Tex winning his 2nd straight.
If anybody has seen him play defense there is no question he deserves it. The Rangers had to get something out this season.

Good for Grud. He has played well for years and finally gets his due.

    Typically, it seems that if

    A) You won the award the year before
    and
    B) You were healthy the whole year

You just get it by default. Gold Gloves could be the biggest joke award in the game, and when I say that, I include the craptacular Manager of the Year award.

I think you guys are a little bitter at Chavez winning again...he was not healthy all year BTW. And Ellis should have beaten Grudz even though he missed a month. He only had 2 errors all year IIRC.

I have no reason to be bitter to Chavez. Hell Beltre had a great year but he isnt as good as Chavez is or probably ever will be.

I was just joking because I think during the season you said Beltre should win and Fisher said Lowell should win. If Chavez wins next year, he'll be in 2nd all by himself.

It was right around May when I said it. Then I looked that the 5 ERRORS Chavez had and changed my tune.

Yeah, really, you're going way back. I think Chavez was a legitimate choice, I think Lowell was better.

And I'm speaking of Gold Gloves in general

    A. 19 more games, 15 of them starts, and only 1 more error than B.
