If this is true, then HOLY SHIT!! How can Brian Cashman keep his job? How were they going to win anything with that pitching? I for one did not pick them to even win the AL pennant because I knew they had weak pitching. Jaret Wright? Randy Johnson and his ERA of 5? Where in the world is Carl Pavano? Cashman should be the man out, not Torre!

I don't find it to be redundant when you start a similar thread in a different forum.

Not everybody (ie people who are apt to read the thread) goes to every teams' forums.

Some people read their team's forums and the general forums, and maybe peruse the others from time to time, once a week at most.

The people described above would like to know about news such as Joe Torre being fired much sooner than they'd otherwise find out, i'd like to think.

I also think it's counterproductive to the growth of the forums to get into these assinine debates everytime somebody, heaven forbid, starts a thread on big news involving baseball in the baseball general news forum just because someone else started one in the specific team forum.
