Who would you bring to the plate with the game on the line?

Porter99 asked the "Who would you start in a must win situation?"
I'm asking the "Who would you bring to the plate with the game on the line" in the playoffs.

    Today:
Pujols 2-for-4 with a two-run HR to put the Cards up 2-0.
Jeter 5-for-5 with a solo HR to put the Yankees up 8-4.

    Jeter.

Pujols is a CLOSE second though.

I'll take Pujols. Defensively, you really can't play him, because he hits equally well to all fields. His power is better than Jeter's, and his strike-zone judgement is as good.

I'll take Jeter out of these two. Being overrated aside, his track record is much more impressive than Pujols.

    his track record
See, that's my thought process. Regardless of what happened yesterday... I'd be more inclined to take the best hitting postseason baseball player in hisotry (Jeter) over Pujols, even though Pujols is more of a threat to take one to the yard than Jeter, Jeter will always be a threat to move runners and extend the inning.

    *shrug* Hard call.

The Yankees don't need Jeter to hit homers in the postseason, they get it below average players like Aaron Boone when it counts.

As much as I like Pujols, I have to go with Jeter.
He has much more of a track record. I think I heard he passed Bernie Williams last night for most career post-season hits.

Pujols quickly established himself as a big game hitter though batting .336 in post-season play coming into this season.
