I just got back from PetCo and what an event it was.

Congratulations to Trevor Hoffman, the all time saves king.

Try to become the 1st 500 save master.

Hope he can do this... even though that might result in a loss for my D-Backs lol.

He should pass 500 easily, and setting the all-time mark is an incredible accomplishment. I just hope Mo can get up there sometime soon, Hoffman shouldn't be around for that much longer. But yea, congrats, being the best of all time at what you do has to feel pretty good.

It's not really that great when you consider Lee Smith and John Franco(#'s 2 & 3) were never great closers. It is a big accomplishment and congrats to Trevor, one of the best closers of his generation.

Good job Hoffman. I used to undervalue closers, but the lack of a good one showed me just how important the position is.
